Desk Manager – Job Description (5/15/17)
Status: Part-time/Hourly
Location: Plymouth, MI

SUMMARY:
Seeking a customer service and sales oriented professional with a positive demeanor to manage the front desk and related operations of a busy, well-attended yoga studio. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing students and potential students with a welcoming and assuring customer service experience while also maintaining the appearance and general upkeep of the yoga studio. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to accurately execute on other tasks such as assisting with event management and other clerical duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment. Must be able to accurately sell and account for student membership packages, recognizing and acting on upsell opportunities when appropriate. Ability to proactively maintain yoga rooms for classes as well as maintaining the general appearance of the studio. Must be organized and efficient in carrying out other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Customer service, sales, facility, general clerical

Customer Service:
Welcome and check-in students for classes
Handle fees, memberships, upselling where possible
Proactively solve student problems with minimal management intervention

Sales:
Maintain detailed knowledge of all membership pricing options
Recognize and act on opportunities to upsell new and existing customers
Collaborate with Business Manager and owners on upsell strategies

Facilities:
Open and prepare studio and yoga rooms for classes.
Maintain cleanliness of yoga rooms and remainder of studio throughout the day
Maintain supplies and other inventory needed to run the studio’s day-to-day operations at the direction of the Business Manager
Set up, take down and general support for special events, workshops, etc.

General Clerical:
Accurately perform tasks as assigned by the Business Manager
